Weight Loss Tips - Losing Weight without Losing your Mind

Millions of Americans struggle each day to lose weight and gain confidence in their appearances. We're not about to reiterate the hundreds of diets men and women absorb themselves in each year, but we are going to reveal some healthy secrets to losing weight and staying healthy.
Everyone knows that it's not healthy to starve yourself or work yourself to death at the gym. The biggest part of weight loss is balance, especially when it comes to eating and exercising.
Below are five healthy and effective ways to lose weight and stay healthy:
1. Eat Fiber. Eating foods with a lot of fiber (like whole grains, fresh fruit, and raw veggies) will help you fill up faster and digest your food more effectively. Fiber will also make you feel less tired and bloated which ultimately increases your energy levels which will help you lose the weight faster.
2. Drink Lots of Water. Making sure you drink 8-10 glasses of water each day will make sure your body stays hydrated and will help flush out the waste in your system. The more water you drink, the faster your metabolism will break down the fat in your body. Consuming water before meals will make your stomach feel fuller which will make it easier to consumer lesser amounts of food during your meals.
3. Get a Good Night's Sleep. Many experts agree that the less sleep you get, the harder it is to lose weight. Getting at least 7 hours of restorative sleep each night will help you lose weight and will make sure your energy levels are high enough to make losing weight a realistic goal.
4. Stop Smoking/ Drinking. If you don't smoke or drink alcohol, you're already one step ahead of the game. Individuals trying to lose weight while maintaining a habit of smoking or drinking will find losing weight significantly more difficult than those who stay clear of both. If you're serious about losing weight, your best bet is to kick the nicotine and the erase the alcohol before starting your weight loss regime.
5. Monitor your Portion Sizes. Losing weight doesn't mean completely eliminating your favorite foods from your diet - it just means portioning them. You can still have those Doritos you've been craving or the double-fudge sundae - you'll just have to have a small, controlled bowl of Doritos or a kid's size double-fudge sundae instead of the larger ones you're used to. Controlling your portions is the single most effective way to lose weight fast.
