Yoga For Weight Loss

Benefits of Yoga for Weight Loss
Yoga has been practiced in India for the past few thousand years and is catching up like wildfire in the West. With this widespread practice, studies into the effectiveness of yoga in various aspects of life has also been done. One of the recent studies that has got me hooked to practicing yoga has been the link between yoga and weight loss.
With most of the world becoming weight conscious both for external beauty and longevity, I was no exception. With irregular eating and sleeping habits, my weight had increased by a large amount and I was labeled obese. With visions of heart attacks and surgeries swimming before my eyes, I tried out different methods like aerobics, running, weight training and dieting. However, none of them gave me remotely satisfactory results. Then, I started practicing yoga for weight loss, by watching the amazing videos and reading the books which are available on the Amazon. I was able to see the results much faster than anything else I had attempted before.
It was only after I started seeing the association between Yoga and weight loss that I was able to find a method that provided me with excellent results without any side effects. With the printed and video tutorials that I obtained I was able to find out the perfect postures and the methods of doing them to maximize the rate of my weight loss. The instructions were crystal clear and the results that I was supposed to expect were also given so that I was under no delusions at any point of time.
With the breathing and the postures described perfectly the only issue that I had to deal with was that there was no motivation like an aerobic class or a workout disc. However, then again after a certain time spent practicing yoga for weight loss I have come to realize that this is the best way for me to go forward and lose a few more kilos without any side effects at all.

Of course, the general rule would be to choose the best exercise that will fit your need to ensure that you get the results that you desire. There are many options available, but the best exercise to lose weight is none other than yoga.
Yoga is a series of physical postures called asanas. It is a holistic science that believes that everything in our body is connected.
It doesn't only focus on the physical aspect of the body; it also aims to achieve stillness of the mind. It links and synchronizes the power of both the mind and the body to create a sense of balance and stability.
Originally, yoga was created to prepare the body for meditation, which is probably one of the hardest things to do €" especially in today's very busy and demanding world. In meditation, you are expected to channel your senses within, without distraction.
Doing this will give you stamina and no longer make you feel that your body is separate from your mind. It makes you a €whole' being, bound by a single energy from the mind, body and soul.
This balance among the aspects of yourself (mind, body, and soul) is what gives you the discipline to concentrate only on the things that are crucial and important.
